March in Edinburgh, it’s Not All About Easter!

We have sprung into March, and with it comes an assortment of fun things to do in and around Scotland’s capital – and they’re not all related to Easter! Put the egg hunting off for now and find out what else is on during March in Edinburgh. We’ve put together a handy list that’s sure to pique the interest of anyone visiting for the first time or revitalizse the explorative spirit of an old hand.

Light up the Night

Running since the start of February, ‘KEYFRAMES’ is an impressive light installation set up within St Andrew Square’s already gorgeous gardens. The show itself is made up of eighty individual stick-men sculptures that play music and illuminate in a dance-like sequence.

The completely free exhibit is on until the 28th of March, so there’s still plenty of time to take a casual walk down – and just to make it even more convenient, we’re just around the corner! A stroll through Edinburgh and a gorgeous art installation, it’ll be hard to top that.

A Fashion March

Speaking of tops, the Edinburgh Fashion Week is back in full force, promising to bring with it an extravagant showcase of the city’s fashion, mixing brands with the more unique and independently owned styles of Edinburgh. Fashion Week has something for everyone, with top stylists doling out tips and, for the first time in Edinburgh, there’ll be a number of children’s fashion shows.

The celebration of all things fashionable will take place between the 5th and the 13th of March, in various different locations around the city – including a marquee on The Mound, right in view of Parliament House Hotel! Be sure to pick up your tickets now, there’s a prize draw at the end of the show to figure out who has a ‘Golden Ticket’, awarding them with a gift voucher and a lunch for two.
