Are you ready for this year’s Hogmanay in Edinburgh? It’s one of the biggest parties in the world, and you’re invited! Say goodbye to 2024 and welcome 2025 at this internationally famous celebration. Tickets are now on sale for the street party and concert, which takes place in the historic city centre on New Year’s Eve.

Celebrate this Hogmanay at the Edinburgh Street Party and enjoy street performances, live soundtracks, pipes and drums, fairground attractions, street food and drink … and more! All leading up to the magical midnight moment when the skies are filled with fireworks to mark the beginning of a new year. Pyrotechnic experts, Titanium, will put on a spectacular display of light and colour, against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Book your tickets here.

Hogmanay is a multi-day celebration and many events and things to do. So let’s start planning!

Monday 30th December

  • Night Afore Disco Party: HOT DUB TIME MACHINE
    Hot Dub Time Machine returns to Edinburgh with special guests The Cuban Brothers & High Fade. Dance through the decades with this global phenomenon in West Princes Street Gardens. Gates open at 5.30pm and the show kicks off at 6.35pm. Book your tickets here.
  • Night Afore Concert: IDLEWILD plus special guests
    Since 1995 Indie rock legends Idlewild have been performing all over the world. Now, they return to Edinburgh, giving you the chance to hear them in an intimate venue. Entry from 7.30pm at 54 George Street , Edinburgh EH2 2LR. Book your tickets here.

Tuesday 31st December – Hogmanay and into the New Year

  • Hogmanay Street Party, Edinburgh city centre, 9.00 pm to 12.50 am. See in the New Year at the world’s most spectacular Street Party. With live DJ soundtracks, giant screens and funfair attractions, you can soak up the party atmosphere! There will also be outdoor bars and street food to pick up a hot snack or glass of fizz with friends. Book tickets.
  • Concert in the Gardens, West Princes Street Gardens, 9.00 pm to 12.50 am. Headlining this year is one of Scotland’s favourite rock bands, Texas. Not only that, but Callum Beattie will be a special guest. Find out more.
  • Midnight Moment, Edinburgh city centre, 12.00 am – Then as the bells chime at midnight on 1st January, a spectacular firework display will erupt over Edinburgh Castle. So as the year 2025 arrives, you can soak up the vibrant atmosphere.

Wednesday 1st January – New Year’s Day

Vitamin C Club Night, 147-149 Portobello High St from 7.30pm. Join Vic Galloway (BBC Radio Scotland) & Andy Wake (The Phantom Band) for a club night designed to keep the party going! Held in Portobello (Edinburgh’s beach) you can expect a night of non-stop dancing by the sea. Book your tickets here.
