Celebrate this Hogmanay at the Edinburgh Street Party and enjoy street performances, live soundtracks, pipes and drums, fairground attractions, street food and drink … and more! All leading up to the magical midnight moment when the skies are filled with fireworks to mark the beginning of a new year. Pyrotechnic experts, Titaniumwill put on a spectacular display of light and colour, against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Book your tickets here.

Hogmanay is a multi-day celebration and there are more events to be confirmed. But let’s take a look at the programme so far…

Tuesday 31st December – Hogmanay and into the New Year

  • Hogmanay Street Party, Edinburgh city centre, 9.00 pm to 12.50 am. See in the New Year at the world’s most spectacular Street Party. With live DJ soundtracks, giant screens and funfair attractions, you can soak up the party atmosphere! There will also be outdoor bars and street food to pick up a hot snack or glass of fizz with friends. Book tickets.
  • Concert in the Gardens, West Princes Street Gardens, 9.00 pm to 12.50 am. Headliners are yet to be announced for this year’s concert. Previous artists include Pulp, Biffy Clyro, Paolo Nutini, Pet Shop Boys, Blondie, Madness, Calvin Harris and Kasabian. Find out more.
  • Midnight Moment, Edinburgh city centre, 12.00 am – Then as the bells chime at midnight on 1st January, a spectacular firework display will erupt over Edinburgh Castle. So as the year 2025 arrives, you can soak up the vibrant atmosphere.

Wednesday 1st January – New Year’s Day

  • First Footin’, city centre venues, 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Free live music and performances take place in various attractions and venues across the city centre to celebrate New Year’s Day. Find out more.
