‘THE HOTEL IS IN A GREAT LOCATION. ON ENTERING THE HOTEL YOU ARE WELCOMED BY A LARGE, VERY WARM OPEN FIRE. IT FEELS VERY COSY. IT IS A RELATIVELY SMALL HOTEL WITH CHARACTER. WOUDL DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN’

Enjoy beautiful walks together through Edinburgh
You have to work hard to find somewhere in Edinburgh that isn’t steeped in history. Walking through Makar’s Court, you can read the stone inscriptions of some of Scotland’s most famous authors and poets. The court includes beautiful words from Robert Burns, Robert Louis Stevenson, and Muriel Spark.
Would you prefer something more energising? Then walking to the top of Blackford Hill to the south of the city gives stunning views over Edinburgh, the castle and Arthur’s Seat. To the east, the coast flows around towards North Berwick and the North Sea.
‘Great location. Staff is excellent. Charming and quirky like a bed & breakfast but convenient like a hotel with someone sitting at a desk in the lobby to help with questions. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The shower was excellent. I would stay here again. Well, run. Very clean.’

Peace and quiet
However, you don’t have to go far from the hotel to enjoy peace and quiet. Dean Village on the Water of Leith is like a door to the past. Strolling hand-in-hand down these cobbled streets will transport you to a way of life long gone. As a result, this stunning area is a wonderful opportunity to slow down and enjoy your time together.
Many people don’t realise that Edinburgh is a beach city! Only a few miles to the north is Portobello which offers a vast sandy beach to promenade along. And if you’re looking for plenty of delicious gastropubs and, of course, ice cream stalls, then it’s a lovely place to take a stroll together.
So, if you are looking for one of the best romantic breaks in Edinburgh has to offer, then book now! We’re sure you’ll enjoy your visit here with us. Above all, your time here will certainly be one to remember forever.
