This year, Edinburgh is hosting the 66th Tattoo and it’s set to be spectacular. It will host talent from 4 continents as it celebrates “East Meets West”. It will include pipers, dancers, singers, and drummers, including Switzerland’s Top Secret Drum Corps!

Edinburgh Military Tattoo goes way back to 1950 so there is plenty of history to learn about it. For example, 48 countries from across six continents have been represented at the Tattoo, the first commercial twelve inch stereo LP record of the Tattoo was released in 1961 and in total about 14 million people have attended the Tattoo.
The Tattoo actually supports charities and any excess earnings it makes it will contribute these to charitable arts and service funds. These charities include those helping service people with disabilities, stress, sickness, unemployment, homelessness, infirmity and poverty.
