Edinburgh Football
Edinburgh has two main football teams. Heart Of Midlothian, who play at Tynecastle Stadium in the west of the city, and Hibernian FC who play at Easter Road in the east. But we call them “Hearts” and “Hibs” for short. The two teams are fierce rivals. Fans flock to Tynecastle or Easter Road throughout the football season to support their favourite team.

Edinburgh Rugby
Edinburgh Rugby is our city’s professional rugby team. Their home ground is Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh. Murrayfield is also used for most Scottish international rugby union games, including all of Scotland’s Six Nations home games.

Horse Racing
Another of our popular spectator sports is horse racing. Musselburgh Racecourse is in East Lothian, 6 miles outside Edinburgh city centre. The racecourse hosts a full programme of race days across the flat and jump racing season. Such as Ladies Day, family racedays and The Edinburgh Cup.
